The collaboration between Dr. Thomas Torode and Eleanor initially started with the Cambridge Science festival in 2018. From visits to the Sainsbury laboratory in Cambridge, and learning about Torode’s research on plants and how they regulate their growth and development, a new series of work was created. This work was part of the exhibition Brilliant Brains, and included a joint talk with Torode, as part of the science festival. The new pieces included printing on novel plant waste developed by Torode. The research has continued to be of interest and inspiration; a manifestation of her concern for the relationship between human beings and nature, in the context of the increased concerns for the eco system and issues of sustainability.
